Disadvantages of Resistance welding:
- Produce more slag which can be dangerous for people around the area where the weld was made.
- There are special protection helmets available so these risks can be reduced if needed.
- Resistance welding cannot cut through thicker metals like stainless.
- Resistance welding can also damage the properties of certain materials such as copper when it gets heated up during welding.
- Its a high cost compared to other processes because they use a lot of energy and chemicals to do the job.
