Hot rolled steel and cold rolled steel are divided according to there working temperatures. Both hot rolled and cold rolled have their advantages and disadvantages. this type of steels is used according to there properties gained at the time of hot working or cold working. using different types of steels depends on their strength, temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, deformation, etc.

Hot Rolled Steel:
- When the working condition of steel is above the re-crystallization temperature then it is said to be a hot rolled steel.
- In this process working on a hot rolled steel is easy and fast than cold rolled steel.
- Working on a Hot rolled steel does not obtain a high surface finish.
- It required an additional Finishing process.
- This type of processing is low compared to the cold rolled steel and cost is comparatively less.
- When the material working under this temperature decreases the strength.

Cold Rolled Steel:
- When the working condition of a steal at room temperature then it is said to be a cold rolled steel.
- Working at room temperature on steel is not an easy process and time-consuming process.
- At working conditions, we can obtain a clear surface finish than hot-rolled type.
- It does not require an additional finishing process.
- Cost cold rolled process is high and it includes more processing.
- Strength of the material can be increased at this working conditions.
