Carburetor: A carburetor is a device which used to supply the air-fuel mixture into the combustion chamber of the engine to generate heat by burning the air-fuel mixture. The carburetor is provided in the spark ignition engine only, carburetor used to draw the air from the atmosphere and mix with the fuel and supply into the combustion chamber.The main use of this is to supply the required quantity of air-fuel mixture into the combustion chamber to produce heat and it further converts into the required energy.Fuel gets filtered at the starting point of the carburetor to remove the impurities present in the fuel.Fuel gets filtered and supplied into the storage tank of the carburetor which helps to pass into the venturi tube to mix with the air drawn from the atmosphere.According to the acceleration provided the throttle gets opened and helps to supply the fuel into the engine.

Construction of a carburetor:
Inlet pipe is connected to the fuel filter to remove impurities and the outlet pipe is connected to the Carburetor storage tank to supply the filtered fuel and stored in it to use when it is required there is a float placed inside it to stop the supply when the tank gets filled and there is a connection between the storage tank and the venturi tube to supply the fuel to mix with air init, there is an air inlet fixed to draw the air from atmosphere to supply this mixture a throttle is fixed at the end of the venturi tube the working of throttle depends on the acceleration due to the connection between them.

- Filter
- Storage Tank
- Float
- Discharge Pipe

Inlet pipe:
- This is used to supply the required amount of fuel from the fuel tank to carburetor storage tank at the end of the inlet pipe it contains a filter slot.
Filter:
- It is provided at the front portion of the carburetor to prevent impurities from entering into the carburetor.
Storage Tank:
- This is used to store the additional amount of fuel in it and supplied for the further process when it is required.

Float:
- This is provided inside the storage tank of the carburetor to prevent the overflow of fuel from it. It helps to stop the fuel passing into it when the carburetor tank gets filled.
- It closes the inlet pipe of the tank by floating on fuel and stops the fuel entering into it.
Discharge pipe:
- This is used to supply the required amount of fuel into the venturi tube to get mix with the air.
Air Inlet pipe:
- This pipe helps to draw the air from the atmosphere and mix with the fuel and supply to further combustion process.
Throttle:
- This used to supply the required amount of fuel into the combustion chamber of the engine according to the acceleration given. This valve opens and closed according to the acceleration provided.

Working of a Carburetor:
The fuel from the fuel tank supplied into the filter slot and enters into the carburetor fuel storage tank when the fuel gets filled in the fuel storage tank it gets closed with a float present in it, and from this carburetor storage tank there is a delivery pipe to the venturi tube to supply the required quantity of fuel in to the venturi tube and mix with the air which is drawn from the atmosphere and this mixture used to pass through the throttle valve according to the acceleration provided and enters in to the combustion chamber to generate energy. if we accelerate more the throttle get opened fully and decreases when we release the accelerator.
