Advantages of surface condenser over jet condenser
- There is a high vacuum obtained compared to the jet.
- Water used for cooling is reused without any treatment.
- For high capacity plants, it is More advantageous.
- In this Condensate losses can be eliminated.
- It required power for air pump is low.
Limitations:
- It requires more space than the jet condenser.
- The cost of maintenance is high.
- In this not much effective in steam and cooling water than the jet.
- This is a complex plant.
